This project consists of a number of collaborators from a variety of universities, non-profits, and independent practitioners. We have a number of formal partnerships in place with a number of these institutions (see the list of partners below). People from these institutions (as well as other institutions with whom formal partnerships are still being finalised) are currently forming Thematic Action Committees (TACs), they are advising us on our general direction, or they provide strategic, institutional support.
In addition to these institutional partners, there is a core team in place that is in charge of moving this project as a whole ahead. We have a long journey ahead of us, but we are tackling this one step at a time - creating new partnerships, establishing new TAC, and creating new community alliances as we go along. Our core team currently consists of the following people:
- Boipelo Madonsela - circular economist working in the Extended Producer Responsibility space.
- Frances Taylor - urban ecologist and former director of Communitree.
- Jurgen Wolfenden - spiritual ethicist and researcher in postgrowth alternatives to development.
- Ntsiki Anderson - mother, dreamer and researcher focusing on community wellness, spatial justice and indigenous ways of knowing.
- Paul Hoekman - industrial ecologist and former Executive Director of the International Society for Industrial Ecology.
- Santiago Mejía-Dugand. Amateur naturalist. Interested in flows and balances. Looking for solutions in nature.
We furthermore would like to acknowledge and greatly appreciate the support of all those people that have participated in meetings, workshops and discussions around this topic with us since late 2022.
